As the pool season winds down and the sun sets earlier, the swim time after 8 pm on Friday and Saturday evenings will get shorter. We are not permitted for night swimming and the lifeguards will blow the whistle when it gets dark. Stay and visit until 9, but please support the guards in keeping our kids safe.

The first season of the Lakemont community garden has been quite a success. Thanks to all who have faithfully watered, weeded, harvested, and shared the bounty. It’s about time to start thinking about a fall garden. If you want to get in on the fun, contact Fred Woodward fmwoodward@earthlink.net or Jenny Fanjoy tfanjoy@nc.rr.com.

Join the Pool Board:Did you know that we are a member-owned Pool? That’s right: Lakemont Swim & Tennis is your Club. And your volunteer Pool Board keeps it running each and every year. Each Board volunteer is elected to a 2 year term and keeps busy scheduling fun events for social, pool and tennis, putting out a weekly newsletter, ensuring bills get paid, and generally keeping the pool looking good and staying safe. And we need YOU! Please consider serving on the Board as something every member should try at least once: the more members we have representing our interests, the better the pool will be
If you are curious, please contact the Membership Chair, Jennifer Brock to find out how you can be a part of the behind the scenes excitement! All are welcome and no experience is required
